Ferry Terminal
The Canoe Mooring Post is a conceptual architectural device that operates as both refuge and navigational marker. It provides shelter from weather, a place of rest and preparation, and a point of departure and return for future journeys. As a tool for wayfinding and orientation, it guides movement through the landscape while grounding the project in cultural context. The concept acknowledges the first settlers and reflects the values, customs, and traditions of Mana Whenua, embedding cultural identity within the spatial and symbolic role of the architecture.
